Key Purpose of the role
Within the Retirement Funds business unit, the role is in charge of daily administration. The incumbent would be expected to oversee a portfolio of various Retirement Fund disciplines, such as monthly contribution reconciliation and investment, Section 13A non-compliance letters and calculations, Default Reg requirements, T-day and new member processes, and more. This is a fundamental administrative function. Implementing, maintaining, and improving processes and procedures is the incumbent’s responsibility. The incumbent must guarantee that operational activity is carried out precisely, successfully, and efficiently while adhering to regulatory standards. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that they possess the competencies, tools, information, and abilities needed to carry out their duties in accordance with service level agreements. The incumbent must be eager to contribute to a developing new business unit, be able to adapt to change with ease, be a part of the team’s change management, challenge the status quo, and inspire and motivate others. In order to guarantee the provision of dedicated services to the clients of Umbrella Funds, the incumbent will continuously assess current processes and procedures.
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
- processing of every transaction within agreed-upon service levels on a daily and monthly basis. carrying out QA tasks for document verification as needed.
- Make sure that daily operations are accurate, in compliance with applicable laws, and up to date with regulatory frameworks, including the Tax Act, the Pension Funds Act, the Rules of the Discovery Life Umbrella Pension and Provident Funds, and the Special Rules for Participating Employers.

- addressing questions from internal stakeholders, having effective client communications to address concerns and escalations, and making ensuring that

Education and Experience
- Matriculation is necessary.
- Five years of expertise with employee benefits, retirement funds, and umbrella funds; a minimum of NQF level 6 or above is preferred.

- Beneficial MS Office: Advanced Excel Skills, Accounting, Investments, Retirement Fund and Umbrella Fund Operations,
