Keep track of client transactions on the Dis-Chem operating system in accordance with corporate guidelines and SOPs, eliminating the possibility of fraud and tolerating errors at all times.

Essential:

• Matric/Grade 12
• at least six months’ worth of experience working as a cashier or in till operations
• Microsoft Office proficient
• strong numerical abilities
• Excellent proficiency in the English language Fundamental customer service
• able and willing to work store hours

Job Description:

• Respect the customer service guidelines and rules of Dis-Chem.
• Develop a businesslike rapport with clients
• Notify store management or the frontline supervisor of any customer compliments or complaints.
• Respect the hourly rate for customer churn.
• Recognize the latest deals and promotions.
• Make sure there are no risks for coworkers or clients.
• Apply and oversee the Dis-Chem five-star communication guidelines.
• Take charge of cash flow.
• Make sure the supervisor approves and signs off on all line voids and price adjustments.
• When permitted, exchange goods for customers and accept returned goods from customers.
• Complete all transactions and accept and handle all payments (cash, bank cards, coupons, bank vouchers, and other means of payment that Dis-Chem accepts).
• Handle all loyalty cards, including those from our partners who are accelerators.
