Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support for Procurement: Get written quotations from vendors, fill up request forms, and make sure that the necessary funds are committed to and approved.
  • Budget Management: To verify fund availability and secure expenditure approval, submit all required paperwork to the budget system. Record-keeping: Ensure that all pertinent data, such as order numbers, supplier details, and requisition details, are kept up to date in the VA register.
  • Order processing: Send paperwork to retailers in order to create orders, and make sure that copies of pertinent paperwork are kept on file for future use.
  • Communication: By faxing required documents and upholding documentation integrity, you may help departments, suppliers, and pertinent stakeholders communicate with one another.

 

Requirements:

  • Without any experience, National Senior Certificate / NQF Level 4.
  • fundamental understanding of administrative procedures.
  • computer literacy, encompassing Outlook, Word, Excel, and the MS Office Suite.
  • strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in writing reports.
  • comprehension of governmental regulations such as the Public Service Act, labor relations, the Constitution, and the promotion of information access.
  • both analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with a public service internship program lasting one (1) year is preferred.
