JOB PURPOSE:
- Provide competent and efficient services to help schools safeguard, care for, and assist vulnerable students in accordance with the implementation of life skills and HIV/AIDS programs.
- Keep up positive working relationships with other partners, sister departments, and the city Aids Council.
- Organize a productive referral system to guarantee efficient service provision. Assist students who are at risk with case management, trauma debriefing, and confidentiality.
- Visit the designated OVCs’ homes while accompanied by SBST.
- Keep up a strong filing system for all policies, circulars, and reports.
- Create Soul Buddies and Peer Clubs throughout the school.
- Create effective referral systems and compile monthly reports.
- Visit OVCs who have been identified at home with SBSTs.
- Attend workshops and assist with program awareness and mobilization in accordance with the CSTL framework.
REQUIREMENTS:
- a Grade 12 National Senior Certificate.
- An extra advantage will be a recognized diploma or degree in social work, community development work, auxiliary social work, or a similar discipline.
- An additional benefit will be your current registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- young people between the ages of 18 and 40.
