REQUIREMENTS:

• 12th grade or NQF level 4/5, or a comparable level;
• Security Clearance (minimum of one academic year) PSIRA certificate in grade B three years of experience in security;
• Understanding of the protocols for access control, as well as controls for the movement and management of stores and equipment awareness of the security protocols that are required (e.g., MISS, NISA, Protection of Information Act) Proficiency and aptitude:Interpersonal skills;
• Creative thinking; Citizen service attitude; Decision making; Diversity citizenship;
• Communication skills (verbal and written); Problem analysis;
• Proficiency in teamwork and computer literacy.

DUTIES:

• Important Domains of Performance:
• Ensure compliance with departmental security policies by supervising the security tasks carried out by the security officers and/or service suppliers.
• Offer security-related services
• Oversee all control room activities to protect departmental resources.
• Perform a range of administrative tasks.
