Applications for the South African Air Force’s 2025 Military Skills Development System (MSDS) intake are being accepted until March 15, 2024, for those who meet the requirements.
BACKGROUND:
Through its Military Skills Development System (MSDS), the South African Air Force is providing young citizens with a two-year contract opportunity to serve in uniform. During the first year of the recruit program, they will receive military training as well as additional functional training; in the second year, they will be deployed to areas where they will be required to apply their knowledge and develop their skills.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- RSA citizens (no dual citizenship),
- between the ages of 18 and 22 (grade 12),
- between the ages of 18 and 26 (3 years tertiary qualification or N6) when reporting,
- with an Admission Paint Score (APS) of 17 and above excluding Life Orientation (LO),
- no criminal record, no pending cases, compliance with the appointment’s medical fitness requirements,
- and no visible tattoos (on the face, neck, lower arm, or legs).
Other Requirements:
Applicants will be subjected to drug testing, Psychometric and medical evaluation, verification of Criminal record, prescreening and verification of Qualifications.
