MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Applicants must not be employed.
  • Applicants must not be enrolled with any institution for a qualification nor be registered in any Learnership Programme.
  • Applicants must not be in possession of a completed post-matric qualification

(NB: Failure to disclose post-matric qualifications will result in applicant being disqualified)

  • Candidates with a post-matric qualification are not eligible to apply and will not be taken into consideration.
  • Candidates must have completed their Matric (Grade 12) with a minimum of Level 3 in ALL disciplines, including mathematics and physical science.
  • The SAQA/NLRD verification report, which may be obtained from the SAQA website, must be submitted by applicants.
  • Candidates must have a valid South African ID and be citizens of South Africa.
  • According to NSDSIII, applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.

  • SAQA / NLRD verification report

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • helping to run and maintain wastewater and water treatment facilities.
  • tracking the parameters of wastewater and water quality.
  • doing out simple laboratory experiments.
  • helping to keep instruments and equipment in working order.
  • taking part in the sampling and analysis of water and wastewater.
  • participating in the learnership program by attending classes.
  • taking part in class discussions and activities.
  • completing projects and assignments as needed.
  • Creating tests and a useful logbook to gauge comprehension and knowledge.

  • Basic knowledge of Numeracy and Communication.
