REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Grade 12 Qualification is a must for consideration.
  • It will be advantageous to have experience with HR salary administration and service benefits.
  • An additional benefit will be an introduction to PERSAL Certificate.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:  

The successful candidate must have a Sound Knowledge of a variety of aspects such as:

  • Public Service Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Public Service Regulations, Public Service Code of Conduct, PFMA, and PSCBC Resolutions; understanding of Policy Incapacity Leave & Ill-Heath Retirement (PILLIR); deciding when to take a leave of absence; deciding on working hours and housing within the public service sector; being aware of administrative processes and systems; and being aware of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Policy PERSAL; Regulations Treasury.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, analytical thinking, language competence, conflict management, coordination, planning and organizing abilities, and time management are all areas in which candidates should thrive.
  • Possessing both autonomous and collaborative work skills; able to function under pressure; self-driven, motivated, goal-oriented, and professional.
