Minimum Requirements:

 

  • In the National Learner Record Database (NQF level 4), a Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) can be found.
  • proficiency in two or more official languages, with English being a requirement. citizenship in South Africa.
  • No pending charges in the criminal or departmental departments, and no convictions in the past.
  • Candidates will go through vetting and fingerprint verification as part of the security screening process.
  • Having a degree or qualification that is applicable to the field will be beneficial.
  • The addition of pertinent administrative courses will be advantageous.
  • the capacity to labor long hours and under pressure when necessary.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Support the Deputy National Commissioner: Crime Detection office administratively.
  • Oversee and plan the management of logistical issues like document handling and office supplies.
  • Keep up with file systems, registers, and leave records.
  • All incoming calls to the office are screened and managed.
  • Type letters, agendas, minutes, reports, and other papers; securely handle private documents.
  • Keep a record of the minutes from meetings and monitor the movement of papers around the office.
  • Communicate with other departments and outside parties about office-related issues.
  • Keep efficient filing, document management, and record-keeping processes.
  • Handle common office equipment, such as computers, photocopiers, fax machines, and phones.
