Job Purpose

To facilitate and offer operational assistance for the cargo process flow from the moment an export order or import pre-alert becomes available until the items are delivered to the importer or exporter. to guarantee that all operations files, shipments, reporting, processing, and document filing are completed in compliance with BIL Standard Operating Procedures and KPIs. Reports and statistics are updated. checking and auditing shipment records in compliance with SOP. tracking and reporting deviations and shipments. Help the manager and supervisor when needed.

 

Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:

 

  • Matric Grade 12
  • Diploma or Certificate in Logistics It would be beneficial to have a relevant postsecondary degree or FIATA diploma. proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
  • CargoWise (training is required for the internal FCSD system Panda).

Experience:

  • Five years or more of industry experience managing import and export air and sea freight operations (automotive experience is an added bonus).
  • Operations, protocols, and standards for import/export clearing and forwarding.
  • Strong customer focus and customer liaison. Accurate reporting, statistics, and data collection.
  • knowledge of root cause analysis and query analysis.
  • knowledge of the 5S principles.
  • Safety, health, and environmental components of effective warehousing procedures are covered by SHERQ and ISO.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Satisfaction:

 

  • prompt and precise answers to consumer questions.
  • monitoring the operation’s KPIs.
  • Make sure that every SOP supports customer expectations and is risk-minimization oriented.

Operations:

  • From the moment an import pre-alert or export order is available until the goods are delivered to the importer or exporter using a variety of systems and,
  • if necessary, manual processes,
  • the facilitation and generation of documentation needed in the process flow,
  • such as bookings, SARS clearances, transportation, NPA & Carriers requirements, etc. for cargo.
  • accurate cargo data collection for reporting.
  • Contribute constructively to help the manager and supervisor optimize operations.
  • Help identify and put into practice the proper corrective actions based on audit trail analysis and root cause analysis.
  • ensuring compliance with company rules, QMS, and SHE requirements.
  • recording, as necessary, the minutes of operations meetings.
  • Promote ongoing service improvement.
  • Assure adherence to housekeeping and proper hygiene practices in all areas that fall under your purview.
  • Make sure the department is in agreement.
