REQUIREMENTS:

• possess a National Diploma in Finance or Accounting, or a comparable degree.
• possess two to three years of general ledger reconciliation and finance-related experience.
• Have a current driver’s license on you. A practical understanding of PFMA.
• an understanding of the rules set forth by the National Treasury.
• a practical understanding of asset management procedures and procurement processes.
• a practical understanding of how policies and procedures are applied.
• a practical understanding of asset verification methods and instruments.
• proficiency with computers. analytical abilities.
• Numeracy Skills. Proficiency in both written and spoken communication Skills in paying attention to details abilities in managing time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organize the yearly physical asset verification for each of the Park’s designated regions.
• Apply company policy and procedure to assets that are fixed.
• Keep your fixed asset registration up to date.
• Organize and oversee the movement of assets, including purchases, transfers, and disposals.
• Oversee and assist with park asset auctions.
• Track and report on the region’s Capex budget.
• Use risk management techniques to manage your assets.
• In order to prepare financial statements, update the general ledger accounts.
• Organize the capitalization of capital projects that are associated with assets.
• carry out any additional related tasks that your supervisor assigns you.
