At the local office level, the Social Grant Administrator is in charge of managing social grants and making sure that applications are handled correctly and quickly. Throughout the grant application process, the position entails communicating with applicants, confirming their information, and offering customer service. In order to support office operations and guarantee adherence to pertinent laws, the administrator will also carry out a variety of administrative duties.

Candidates must fulfill the minimal requirements for all posted positions and submit to required pre-employment screenings, which include competency tests, credit history checks, criminal records, references, technical skill checks, and qualification checks. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Local Office’s Social Grants administration.
- Examine and handle grant applications. Enter grant applications correctly into the system.
- Provide outstanding client service.
- Manage a variety of administrative and grant-related paperwork.
- Verify the quality of grant applications.
- Observe Section 57 of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) requirements.
Important Information:
- Pre-employment screenings for candidates will include criminal background checks, reference checks, ITC, and qualification verification.
- Prior to the selection process, candidates with international qualifications must have their qualifications assessed by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).
