REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates must demonstrate expertise in the essential duties of the position that are unique to it.
  • hold a National Certificate (Vocational) or Senior Certificate (Grade 12) that is listed on the National Learner Record Database at NQF level 4.
  • Be proficient in a minimum of two official languages, with English being one of them.
  • Hold South African nationality.
  • Must not have any outstanding criminal or departmental charges or prior convictions
  • A screening procedure involving security screening and fingerprint verification will be applied to applicants.
  • A degree or diploma in the relevant discipline will be advantageous.
  • Courses that are pertinent to the position will be advantageous.
  • Be prepared to put in long hours and work under pressure.

DUTIES:

  • Provide administrative assistance.
  • Handle logistical issues Keep leave logs, files, and registers up to date.
  • Respond to and screen every call that comes in to the Deputy National Commissioner’s office: Detecting Crime Type agendas, reports, letters, and minutes;
  • manage private papers; maintain minute records;
  • and keep an eye on the flow of documents to the Deputy National Commissioner’s office: Detecting Crime Communicate with various sections and components regarding issues pertaining to the Deputy National Commissioner’s office: Detecting Crime Keep up a good filing, record-keeping, and forwarding system.
  • Use commonplace devices, such as computers, fax machines, photocopiers, and phones.
