REQUIREMENTS:
- Matric/Grade 12 or its equivalent, an undergraduate degree or diploma in public administration or management,
- or any other pertinent credential (SAQA-recognized NQF level 6/7).
- three to five years of entry-level management experience (middle management/assistant director level). An extra benefit will be familiarity with Ministry operations.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication is crucial, as is computer literacy.
- extensive familiarity with and comprehension of the functional domains that are within the Minister’s portfolio.
- practical understanding of South Africa’s parliamentary and political systems.
- demonstrated expertise in policy development and analysis.
- Candidates must also be willing to travel,
- have strong planning and resource management abilities, be a team player, and be able to work under pressure.
DUTIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the executive authority’s office’s coordination and administrative tasks.
- communicating with internal and external stakeholders on issues pertaining to the executive authority’s portfolio.
- Provide the executive authority with a Cabinet/executive council support service. Oversee staff members.
