Key Responsibilities
You will play an important role within the payroll and HR functions, and will specifically be tasked with the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • upkeep of the Oracle HR and payroll system; daily payroll entry to guarantee timely employee payments;
  • Make ensuring that all statutory payments and submissions are made on time;
  • Make that the Employees Tax Incentive (ETI) deducted from PAYE payment is calculated accurately;

Keeping accurate records and filing of:

  • Caregiving and other benefits, promotions and transfers, new engagements, and terminations Audits of leave balances
  • Daily inquiries Anything that has an impact on salary
  • Verifying payroll and dispatch Reconciliations and payments at the end of the month
  • Communicate on all issues pertaining to salaries between HR, divisional offices,
  • Retirement Fund Administrators, and Healthcare Administrators.
  • Employment verifications when necessary
  • General office tasks, such as answering phones and filing, are only a few examples.

Qualifications and Experience

  • a degree or diploma and at least five years of experience working in a payroll and payroll systems setting;
  • Technical expertise in payroll is required;
  • Knowledge of or familiarity with UK payroll would be beneficial.
  • A background in accounting will be beneficial. strong grasp of SDL, UIF, PAYE, and other statutory information;
  • Understanding Sectorial Determination 9 would be advantageous.

Competencies

  • computer savvy (MS Office Suite) and familiar with the Oracle Payroll and HR system,
  • while not required; must be capable of working in a setting with a lot of pressure and deadlines;
  • strong interpersonal and communication abilities (verbal and written);
  • possess the ability to take charge and be proactive; strong sense of teamwork;
  • thorough, reliable, and dedicated; self-driven, well-organized, and methodical;
