Specific Role Responsibilities
- helping to fix cars while following a technician’s instructions
- Replace or remove components from cars while a technician is watching.
- Vehicles are jacked up and trestles are installed under technician supervision.
- Apply and replace oil (under supervision) in accordance with the guidelines in the manual.
- Wheel replacement and removal must be done under supervision.
- Under supervision, take out and install the oil and air filters.
- Help with all auto repairs Under supervision, remove and install batteries.
- tidy components and housekeeping Attend the required level or technical courses.
- Help with cleaning Keep your tools and equipment organized and clean.
- Observe safety regulations and maintain a clean work space and overalls.
- Carry out any additional acceptable tasks that may occasionally be needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Requires Grade 12 in both Physical Science and Pure Mathematics.
- Candidates who studied mechanical engineering will be given preference.
- A valid driver’s license will confer an extra benefit (code 14).
- A clean criminal record is a requirement.
