Specific Role Responsibilities
Key Performance Indicators includes, but not limited to.
Cash Receipting
Gets paid for services provided to the public by interacting with them, answering their questions about purchases or payments, and/or giving them information about costs for particular goods
Gather and tally the payment tender, checking the total against the amount owed and/or requesting identification.
Record checks and handle payment via check. providing receipts that show the amount tendered and verifying the recording with the client
To guarantee that consumer inquiries and financial transactions are appropriately and quickly handled in compliance with established corporate policies
Cash Reconciliation
Cash received is reconciled with customer receipts by separating denominations and starting the control counting sequence.
Adding sums to used receipts and confirming cash totals obtaining information on overnight check deposits, producing receipts in relation to payment tenders, and documenting transactional information on checks before sending them in for additional processing
Checking with the immediate supervisor that the cash receipts schedule and reports match the total amount of cash checks received, and/or addressing any discrepancies in the counts or records before sending them for deposit
Documentation/ Recordkeeping
keeps track of transaction documents and records.
putting duplicate deposit slips and receipts on schedules and filing them chronologically gaining access to and retrieving documents and data to help with the answering of particular questions
Qualifications and Experience
Grade 12:
Two to Five Years
Experience as a Cashier:
Vital Ability to manage all counter money is required.
Carry out general branch administrative duties.
rudimentary knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Skills and Personal Attributes
Efficiency, accuracy, focus, and attention to detail are required.
Numeracy and literacy skills are also required.
Self-driven and prepared to go above and beyond
