Specific Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Vehicle Stock Controller include but are not limited to:
- accurately and quickly billing cars in line with the purchase offer that management has approved.
- ensuring that purchase invoices are timely and accurately captured each day.
- putting cars in stock and sending bills for them. making purchase orders for suppliers of recon and fitments, making sure that an order number is attached to every payment.
- Monthly orders that are still pending report.
- matching the department manager’s cost sheet with the vehicle costing on the internal system.
- confirming that the deal file contains the necessary documentation before sending an invoice.
- informing the financial manager of any variances.
- It takes two stock takes a week to make sure every car is present.
- Keeping track of supplies for every car that is stocked. adding the current retail pricing to stock lists.
- Managing the Demo Fleet and keeping records up to date for
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum requirements for this position include:
- Matric, or 12th grade.
- experience with both billing and stock control.
- It is beneficial to have prior dealership management system experience with “Drive.”
- It helps to have prior Nissan experience.
- experience in the motor trade at the moment.
Skills and Personal Attributes
To excel in this role, the candidate must possess:
- proficiency with computers.
- proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- the capacity to multitask successfully.
