POSITION PURPOSE:

labor supply as instructed by a supervisor to maintain a clean and safe workplace or maximize cargo operation.

POSITION OUTPUTS:

• Cleaning of operational equipment (e.g., windows of ship-to-shore cranes, cabins of cranes, etc.)
• Examination of the condition of the container
• Consult the operations for monitoring.
• Rail wagons opening and shutting twist-locks Following regular operational practices when loading, unloading, and storing cargo
• Hooking and unhooking
• Where appropriate, tarping and untarping
• Put or take out the dunnage
• Operating areas, rail trucks, equipment, offices, workshops, sheds, and restrooms should all be cleaned as directed.
• Complete the necessary paperwork, such as accident reports.
• Finding the appropriate freight handling tools and equipment

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• NQF 04/Grade 12
• One year or more of experience (terminal experience) is required.
• Years spent with certifications or without any official qualifications
• Grade 10 (NQF 02)
• Two years of experience at least (Terminal Experience)
