Qualification and Skills Requirements
• Grade 9; • Security Certificate (Grade C);
• PSIRA registration compliance;
• Capacity to stand for up to four hours.
• Has a good sense of judgment;
• Can keep awake at all times;
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
Work Experience
• Minimum of 1 year of security experience
Primary Function
• Providing access control, parameter patrolling, guarding, security system operations, and general security services is the aim of the job in order to guarantee the safety and security of workers, clients, stakeholders, assets, information, and buildings/facilities.
Key responsibilities:
• Making certain that every facet of an access control is followed.
• Make sure that all guests are picked up from the reception area or access control point and given building tours by the host.
• Issue access control permits and receive the same upon departure.
• Put workers and guests through walkthrough screening procedures to make sure that no weapons or unlawful items are brought into the buildings.
• Verify that personal firearms are properly registered and secured in a secure location.
• Examine bags using X-ray technology to make sure that any unlawful items found are kept out of the building.
• Verify that all personal belongings brought into the building are listed in the relevant registers.
• Verify that the proper asset removal licenses are attached to every item taken from the property.
• Respond to all electronic security system at the facility
• Check for the operation of all electronic systems during one’s shifts.
• Record all security breaches detected and action initiated to contain same
• Conduct office inspections to check compliance with office security.
Take out and store in safe custody all assets that are left exposed and at danger in the region.
• At the start and end of each shift, check the building’s perimeter and the electronic security equipment installed throughout.
• Search vehicles as appropriate and required.
• Perform any additional security tasks that may occasionally be legitimately needed.
