REQUIREMENTS:
- ABET/Grade 11 Certificate and Grade “C” PSIRA, or a comparable credential. one to two years of experience managing security.
- No open cases or criminal histories exist against you.
- Possess both individual and group work skills.
- The job requires a willingness to work sporadic hours and shifts (day and night, including weekends and holidays) and the ability to undergo background checks.
Knowledge and Skills:
familiarity with Public Service Regulations, Security Registers, Batho Pele Principles, MISS, Security Laws, Policies, and Procedures, Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities, as well as good customer management capabilities. Time administration.

DUTIES:
- Carry out access control tasks.
- While on the property, give contractors and guests escorts.
- Everybody entering the building and their belongings should be subjected to an electronic search using an x-ray machine and metal detector.
- Make sure everyone on the premises, including the personnel, is safe.
- Perform general and patrolling tasks, such as searching cars, checking security duty points, and parking lots, and make sure that every incidence is noted in the occurrence book.
- Maintain a record of requests to open offices and notify your supervisor of any patterns.
- Make sure that nobody else is allowed to access the parking lot, and record every car that enters the property.
- Make sure that the appropriate subdirectorate has registered and approved the departure of any departmental assets from the building.
- Make sure that nobody not allowed and nothing hazardous enters the building or grounds.
