Job Overview:
Administration of Government at order to maintain effective administrative procedures at government agencies, clerks are essential. They are in charge of managing a range of administrative duties in accordance with laws and policies, such as budgeting, record-keeping, and procurement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support for Procurement: Get written quotations from vendors, fill up request forms, and make sure that the necessary funds are committed to and approved.
- Budget Management: To verify fund availability and secure expenditure approval, submit all required paperwork to the budget system.
- Record-keeping: Ensure that all pertinent data, such as order numbers, supplier details, and requisition details, are kept up to date in the VA register.
- Order processing: Send paperwork to retailers in order to create orders, and make sure that copies of pertinent paperwork are kept on file for future use.
- Communication: By faxing required documents and upholding documentation integrity, you may help departments, suppliers, and pertinent stakeholders communicate with one another.
Requirements:
- Without any experience, National Senior Certificate / NQF Level 4.
- fundamental understanding of administrative procedures.
- computer literacy, encompassing Outlook, Word, Excel, and the MS Office Suite.
- strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in writing reports.
- comprehension of governmental regulations such as the Public Service Act, labor relations, the Constitution, and the promotion of information access.
- both analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with a public service internship program lasting one (1) year is preferred.
