Job Description
To guarantee that all scheduled operational goals for tailings deposition are fulfilled in a timely and high-quality manner in accordance with contractual obligations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the team leader or supervisor to accomplish the predetermined operational goals.
- Conduct daily inspections of the assigned area of responsibility.
- Plan and manage the tailings material on site and at depositing areas.
- Help resolve operational issues and report any deviations to the immediate supervisor.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in accordance with all safety legislation and company procedures.
- Connect and extend pipelines.
- Open and close valves in accordance with operational lines.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATION
- Grade 12 Certificate / or equivalent
REQUIREMENTS
- Tailings Dam Operation background / experience in the mining or related industry for at least 2 years will be advantageous
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Effective verbal and written communication;
- well-thought-out planning and organization;
- attentive teamwork;
- inventive and action-oriented
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to comprehend pertinent SOPs;
- Medical Fitness to Work in a Mining Environment;
- Successful Completion of the Mine’s Criminal Background Check;
- Potential Need to Work Extra Hours on Occasion
