Purpose of the General Worker Loader Role
The primary responsibility of the General Worker Loader is to ensure the efficient loading and offloading of bread and bakery products within the despatch environment. This role is critical to ensuring that deliveries are accurate, timely, and aligned with operational schedules.
This position supports:
- Smooth distribution of products
- On‑time delivery to customers and retailers

Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will perform the following daily duties:
Loading and Offloading Operations
- Load bread and bakery products onto delivery vehicles
- Offload returned or incoming stock
- Ensure correct handling of goods to prevent damage
Despatch Support
- Assist with preparation of orders for delivery
- Ensure correct quantities are loaded according to dispatch instructions
- Support warehouse and distribution teams
Stock Handling and Accuracy
- Count stock accurately during loading and offloading
- Verify product quantities against documentation
- Report discrepancies immediately
Time and Delivery Management
- Work efficiently to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Maintain a strong sense of urgency in a high‑demand environment
- Support continuous flow of goods through the despatch system
🧹 Housekeeping and Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of loading areas
