Specific Role Responsibilities
• To help with vehicle repairs under the guidance of a technician;
• Remove and replace parts or units from vehicles;
• Jack up vehicles and place trestles;
• Lubricate and change oils (under supervision) in accordance with manual specifications;
• Remove and replace wheels;
• Assist with all vehicle repairs;
• Remove and fit batteries;
• Clean parts and housekeeping;
• Attend prescribed technical / level courses;
• Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required from time to time;
• Help with housekeeping;
• Maintain clean tools and equipment;
• Keep overalls and work area clean;
• Adhere to safety regulationss
Qualifications and Experience
- A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with a motor mechanic trade qualification will be given preference.
- A clean criminal record is a must.
- Candidates must have completed Grade 12 with pure math and physical science.
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Technical proficiency will be beneficial.
