Job Description

One of the top retailers of homeware in South Africa is homechoice. We have been providing our customers with an inventive selection of high-quality, reasonably priced products to help them create beautiful, loving homes for over 35 years.

Keeping and overseeing personnel records for the duration of their employment, up to their departure. Ensure that the HR system’s employee records are data-integrity compliant and that personal information is handled in accordance with the POPI Act.

What you will love doing in this role

  • Getting new hire documentation and entering it all into the HR system
  • Interact with all departments, such as ICT, Facilities, and Line on Access, regarding requirements for new hires’ workstations.
  • When necessary, draft contracts.
  • Offer administrative assistance to staff members who have regular questions that cannot be answered by ESS.
  • Oversee the POPI Act’s compliance, maintain the data integrity of all personnel records, and make sure that records are archived.
  • Oversee any record uploads to the system.
  • Oversee the termination procedure and give departing staff the necessary paperwork.
  • Collaborate closely with payroll, HRBPs, and talent acquisition regarding employee data to guarantee that correct dates are loaded and compensation payments are made.
