Job Description

PURPOSE

The purpose of this role is to support the Divisional Human Resources (HR) function administratively, to record and handle HR-related paperwork, such as payroll, and to make sure that pertinent laws and policies are followed.

Job Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

HR-Related Administration

  • Assist in all disciplinary and employee-related matters;
  • assist in the coordination of training-related matters;
  • ensure compliance with pertinent legislation and Fraser Alexander policies and procedures;
  • provide administrative support on HR people management processes (talent management, individual development plans, performance development);
  • coordinate the process relating to employee onboarding and terminations;
  • and take part in HR projects. Receive, verify, follow-up, action, and process employee documentation.
  • Update internal HR databases.
  • Review HR policies and procedures.

General Administration

  • Maintain and update internal company directories;
  • take minutes of meetings as needed;
  • ensure that all employee inquiries are handled professionally;
  • assist with budgets and projections as needed;
  • and assist with any other ad hoc administration.

Recruitment, Selection and Placement

  • Support the Division with recruitment related activities

Monthly Reporting and Audits

  • Assist the HR Business Partner in gathering, organizing,
  • disseminating, and maintaining records pertaining to daily, weekly, monthly payroll and ad hoc HR reports.
  • Combine and aggregate diverse data needed for reporting objectives.
  • Carry out internal assessments on a range of HR procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A relevant HR National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE

  • Two to four years of experience in a related HR role;
  • strong project management skills in HR;
  • high-level HR reporting
