Job Specifications

You will be expected to maintain and offer support for the desktop computing environment in this. To ensure optimal workstation performance, this involves installing, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment in an environment primarily running Microsoft Windows. Additionally, the individual will accurately and promptly diagnose issue areas (in person, over the phone, or via email) and offer end-user help as needed..

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Incident and Problem Identification

  • Answer calls from users and the help desk.
  • After-hours phone assistance
  • Analyze the service management system, filter incidents, and prioritize them.
  • Make sure the system informs the user.

Hardware and Software Desktop Support and Repairs

  • Allocate time for repairs.
  • When feasible, provide remote assistance and maintenance
  • establishing and maintaining user accounts and permissions in order to grant access to a network
  • Maintaining and evaluating security, preventing unauthorized entry
  • Draw out a maintenance schedule to avoid unforeseen malfunctions.
  • Configuring the computer system of the organization to achieve particular business objectives
  • keeping an eye on daily PC performance
  • Maintain and update the computer equipment and inventory.
  • Maintain and fix problems with the connections to VoIP phones, AV systems, biometrics, and LAN/WAN.
  • Make that desktop computers connect to various systems without any problems, keeping compatibility considerations in mind.
  • Work with suppliers to find solutions for technical issues with desktop computer hardware and software.
  • Support and implement system updates to guarantee their longevity.
  • Evaluate functional requirements to control system specifications for purchases.
  • Fix the network and hardware

Understanding of Modern Technology

Examine the most recent standards and trends.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Grade 12
  • A+ , N+ , MCP Certification

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in I&T Desktop Support
