MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 

• Grade 12 or equivalent one year of prior experience
• working at a sewer pump station
• both medically and physically well.

PRIMARY DUTIES      

• Take up the prior shift’s handover.
• The Pump Station Register is signed.
• Keep track of every pump reading (run hour meter).
• sumps level readings are recorded
• Verify the locations of the intake and output valves, opening the ones that should be opened and closing the ones that should be closed.
• Everyday Inspection of the Pump Station cleaning of the screens as needed.
• The pump station is being cleaned.
• Keep track of and report any equipment defects.
• Observe the pumps that are operating.
