X2 PROPERTY CARETAKERS

Requirements :

• The following requirements must be met: a Grade 10, Grade 11 or Grade 12 qualification;
• gardening or farming experience;
• knowledge of farming and the use of garden equipment and tools;
• the ability to drive a tractor; the ability to meet the physically demanding demands of the position; the ability to be dependable, punctual, and honest;
• preference will be given to EPWP trainees and administrative interns who served and are still serving the Department in accordance with Personnel Circular Letter 4 of 2017.

Duties :

• Doing pest control tasks on the premises and in the hospital facilities;
• adhering to any orders given by an officer;
• checking and reporting service of machinery and equipment;
• performing various duties inside the facility on rainy days;
• digging, weeding, and removing dead wood from gardens; mowing lawns with lawnmowers and trimming machines;
• applying fertilizers and watering gardens;
• cleaning the premises by clearing litter and emptying refuse containers; washing and disinfecting garbage storage areas; helping with the moving and delivery of equipment and furniture;
• and cleaning and swathing of roads and paved areas.
