Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • For a smooth integration, work with outside vendors and service providers, quickly resolving any interface-related problems.
  • Work directly with vendors, finance, and IT teams to resolve interface issues and successfully implement fixes.
  • Create and put into effect standardized processes for all interface and data management tasks linked to payroll.
  • Maintain and check that all interface configurations and data mappings linked to payroll are in compliance with legal and business standards on a regular basis.
  • Help in overseeing cross-functional projects to improve the capabilities of all payroll-related system features, such as integration, automation, and upgrades.
  • Keep abreast of new advancements in the industry and upcoming technology, and suggest system upgrades or enhancements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by advising end users and internal stakeholders on all payroll interfaces that are relevant.
  • act as a point of contact for payroll, time and attendance (T & A), and other departments.
  • While taking corrective action, keep an eye on KPIs pertaining to all payroll-related processing and interface performance.
  • Verify that all payroll-related processes complies with company policy and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform recurring audits to confirm the accuracy of the data and address inconsistencies.
  • Give end users thorough instruction and support on all systems linked to payroll.
  • Prepare reports for managerial evaluation and strategic decision-making by analyzing payroll and T&A data.
  • To increase efficiency, find areas where processes can be automated and improved.
  • Create and update user manuals, training materials, and documentation for each interface that has to do with payroll.
  • Help with reports pertaining to FSS Payroll, computations for incentive rewards programs, retrenchment calculations, and other needs (such as finance tools such as TRP tools, wage negations tools, production bonus tools, etc.).
  • Make sure that all reports on time and attendance adhere to established guidelines.
  • Recognizes and abides by applicable laws, company policies, and procedures.
  • Handle non-compliance issues and provide reports.
  • Set an example of behavior that abides by the Petra Culture Code.
  • Both good self-management and teamwork skills are essential.
Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Payroll Administration National Diploma or Equivalent (NQF level 6). five years or more of payroll interface or system expertise is required.
  • working familiarity with an automated payroll system (such as Xtime, VIP People Payroll, etc.).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite proficiency and computer literacy. a current driver’s license.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Recognize, comprehend, and abide by all applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Show that you understand and are proficient with the necessary computerized payroll system.
  • When organizing payroll procedures, use general management concepts and procedures.
  • Analyze data and put it together in a reporting manner in accordance with legal reporting specifications.
  • Verify and check the time sheet data’s accuracy.
  • Accurately enter and/or arrange payment requests.
