Emeris Sandton Campus is seeking a reliable, responsible, and experienced Driver to join its facilities and operations team. This role supports day‑to‑day campus mobility needs, transportation of students or staff when required, and general vehicle maintenance tasks.

Purpose of the Role

The Driver plays a key role in ensuring safe, timely, and efficient transport services for the campus, while supporting the Facilities Supervisor in operational duties. The role also includes light vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and general assistance tasks, all contributing to the smooth running of Emeris Sandton Campus.

Your duties will include the following core responsibilities:

1. Transportation & Driving Duties

• Safely transport staff, students, and visitors when required.
• Ensure punctual arrival and departure for all scheduled transportation tasks.
• Follow designated routes while maintaining safety, courtesy, and professionalism.
• Uphold all road‑traffic rules and regulations at all times.

2. Vehicle Care, Cleaning & Housekeeping

• Perform general cleaning and washing of campus vehicles, including buses.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections using checklist procedures.
• Ensure tyres, lights, oil levels, water levels, and other basics are always in order.
• Keep vehicles neat, presentable, and ready for use.
• Report any damages, malfunctions, or irregularities immediately.

A clean vehicle contributes to student and staff comfort, brand representation, and safety compliance.

3. Fueling, Recording & Documentation

• Take responsibility for filling up the bus and ensuring fuel cards are used correctly.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle movements.
• Complete daily logs, checklists, and maintenance reports.

4. Campus Support & General Duties

The Driver will assist with campus operational tasks, including:

• Basic maintenance assistance as required by the Facilities Supervisor.
• Loading and offloading goods or equipment when required.
• Supporting campus housekeeping by maintaining external and vehicle‑related areas.
• Performing ad hoc duties as instructed to support campus operations.

Minimum Education Requirements

• N3 / Grade 11 required
• Grade 12 / Matric advantageous

Minimum Work Experience Requirements

• At least 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar driver position
• Experience in an educational, campus, or student‑transport environment is a bonus

Special Requirements

• Fluent in English
• Valid Driver’s License (Code EB)
• Valid Public Driving Permit (PDP)
• Ability to work Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 17h00
