๐ JOB OPPORTUNITY: DRIVER โ MOUNTAIN ZEBRA NATIONAL PARK ๐ฆ
A great employment opportunity is now available for a Driver position at Mountain Zebra National Park. This role is ideal for individuals who are experienced drivers, safety-conscious, and willing to work in a unique natural environment. The successful candidate will report directly to the Hospitality Services Manager and will be required to reside ุฏุงุฎู the park, making this a full-time, immersive role.

- Mountain Zebra National Park (Eastern Cape)
- On-site accommodation required (residing ุฏุงุฎู the park)
๐ Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- โ๏ธ Grade 12 (Matric certificate)
- โ๏ธ Valid driverโs license
- โ๏ธ Professional Driving Permit (PDP) for transporting passengers
- โ๏ธ At least 2 yearsโ experience working as a professional driver or messenger
- โ๏ธ Occupational Health and Safety knowledge/experience
- โ๏ธ First Aid Training certificate

๐ ๏ธ Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
๐ Driving & Transport Duties
- Provide safe and reliable transport services for SANParks staff
- Perform chauffeur duties for both executive and non-executive staff
- Transport school children and employees when required
- Ensure all driving is done in compliance with the National Road Traffic Act
๐ Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Identify and report any vehicle defects or safety issues
- Ensure vehicles are:
- Clean
- Roadworthy
- Well-maintained
- Monitor and control fuel and oil levels
- Perform monthly inspections and assist with annual maintenance schedules
๐ Administration & Record Keeping
- Complete driver log sheets accurately
- Maintain:
- Trip permits
- Mileage records
- Report all incidents, accidents, or vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly
โ ๏ธ Health & Safety Compliance
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations
- Ensure workplace safety procedures are always followed
- Adhere to SANParks Fleet Management SOP and Code of Conduct
๐ค Customer Service & Support
- Provide professional and friendly service to staff and visitors
- Share general information about the park when required
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times
๐งน Additional Duties
- Perform general worker duties when required
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as assigned by management
๐ฐ Salary & Benefits
- Salary based on Paterson Grade B2
- Includes:
- Basic salary
- Allowances

๐ Exact salary figures are determined according to SANParksโ internal salary scale.
