Job Description: Retail Learnership

Overview

This learnership provides cross-training to equip individuals with the skills to work effectively on both the sales floor and service desk of a retail outlet. The role emphasizes customer engagement and stock management. To succeed, candidates must demonstrate a commitment to learning, completing logbooks, preparing for assessments, and achieving competency as a versatile sales consultant.

Key Responsibilities

Complete a minimum of 120 hours of work as part of the learnership program.

-Actively acquire and apply knowledge relevant to retail operations.

-Prepare thoroughly for assessments to demonstrate competency.

-Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide exceptional service.

-Arrange store displays in line with Merchandise Best Practice (MBP) principles.

-Process payments and purchases using the Point of Sale (POS) system.

-Open new customer accounts efficiently.

-Help control and minimize stock losses.

-Build and maintain positive relationships with customers.

-Ensure customer security and safety at all times.

Requirements

-Minimum qualification: Grade 10.

-Enthusiasm for fashion and the retail industry.
