Role Overview
Support and assist the Store Manager in running the day-to-day operations of our Mr Price Money Cellular store. You’ll ensure that store targets, customer service standards, and company objectives are consistently met—often exceeded—by leading with precision and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stock & Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate receipt, unpacking, merchandising, and replenishment of stock on the sales floor.
- Monitor stock levels through regular counts, stock-take processes, and action plans to reduce shrinkage.
- Maintain the stockroom in line with housekeeping standards.
- Support authorisations for write-offs, breakages, recalls, out-of-box failures, repairs, and returns.
2. Sales Growth & Profitability
- Analyse store sales and profitability reports, then collaborate with management to develop and implement operational action plans.
- Monitor in-store product performance and share feedback with the support centre to drive results.
- Identify opportunities for sales growth and increased brand awareness through in-store marketing and competitor analysis.
- Actively push credit, insurance, mobile, and cellular performance to meet budgeted targets.
3. Risk & Compliance Management
- Assist in conducting compliance and audit tasks, covering admin, visual merchandising, POS systems, health & safety, security, and stock controls.
4. Customer Experience Excellence
- Ensure flawless execution of customer experience standards: markdowns, promotions, repricing, visual displays, housekeeping, and feedback processes.
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead the store team to consistently achieve KPIs that align with our values.
- Identify training needs, coach your team, and support talent development and succession.
- Assist in recruitment, performance reviews, and administrative oversight in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: NQF Level 4 (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 3 years in retail, preferably with supervisory or management experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in sales management, budgeting, and computer literacy.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Industry Familiarity: Strong understanding of retail trade, brand standards, customer service excellence, cellular/mobile products, new account processes, and insurance offerings.
