About the Learnership Programme
The Sanlam Corporate Learnership Programme is part of our Youth Empowerment Strategy, aimed at giving young, driven individuals the opportunity to gain valuable workplace experience and attain a nationally recognized qualification. This is an entry-level, hands-on training programme designed for candidates who have completed matric but have not yet pursued tertiary education.
Successful candidates will be placed in different departments within Sanlam Corporate where they will gain practical experience and complete a Certificate in Wealth Management (NQF Level 4) through structured training and coaching.
This learnership is designed to prepare participants for junior-level roles and can serve as a direct entry pipeline into Sanlam’s permanent Youth Empowerment Programme (YEP) for high performers.

What Will You Do?
As a Learnership Trainee, your key learning areas and responsibilities will include:
- Gaining knowledge of Sanlam’s products, services, and operational procedures.
- Attending and participating in classroom-based lessons and workshops.
- Completing practical, workplace-based training tasks.
- Capturing progress through logbooks and a portfolio of evidence.
- Participating in formative and summative assessments to complete the qualification.
- Performing administrative and support tasks as assigned by your manager or supervisor.
- Developing core skills needed to work in the financial services and wealth management industry.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for the programme, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen aged between 18 and 35 years.
- Have completed Grade 12 (Matric) with at least 50% in Mathematics / Math Literacy / Accounting and English.
- Must be currently unemployed.
- Must not hold any tertiary qualification.
- Be fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Be willing to commit to the full 12-month programme.
- Have a clear criminal and credit record.
- Have access to reliable transport to attend training and workplace activities.
