Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will perform a wide range of administrative and data management tasks that support security operations and reporting functions within the organisation.
Administration and Reporting
The Clerk Data Capturing will be responsible for various data-related and reporting duties including:
- Ensuring that the Security Policy, Code of Conduct, and procedures are understood and followed
- Handling general enquiries related to the department
- Identifying missing or incomplete data within existing data sets
- Implementing data collection plans to fill gaps in information
- Maintaining and updating captured data on a daily basis
- Retrieving stored information using appropriate software systems
- Developing and establishing data retrieval procedures
- Mapping data between source systems and data warehouses
- Compiling information from various sources such as:
- Crime information
- Crime intelligence
- Satellite imagery
- Aerial photographs
- Maps
- Analysing criminal trends or patterns affecting operations
- Applying analytical techniques to develop insights and recommendations
- Designing and updating databases
- Maintaining system hardware and software
- Managing digital files including:
- Moving files
- Copying files
- Deleting files
- Adding new records
- Producing reports in electronic format or printed format
Additional responsibilities include:
- Conducting weekly reconciliations
- Following up on data discrepancies
- Performing statistical checks on captured information
- Reporting irregularities to supervisors
- Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly crime reports
- Completing incident reports
- Following up on incidents and investigations
- Testifying in hearings when required
- Briefing replacement staff during shift changes
- Completing shift reports
- Updating and maintaining security logs
