    • UPFS (Uniform Patient Fee Schedule)
    • PAIA Act (Promotion of Access to Information Act)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good communication skills (both verbal and written)

📋 Main Duties and Responsibilities

As an Administration Clerk, your role will be vital in ensuring smooth patient administration processes. Duties include:

  • Filing and retrieving patient records and related documents
  • Managing and organizing patient files across different departments
  • Ensuring daily ward census is completed accurately
  • Safekeeping and proper disposal of patient files in line with the National Archives Act
  • Booking patients daily and tracing missing files
  • Capturing and maintaining accurate data in registers and systems
  • Completing downtime registers and tools correctly
  • Tracking and verifying patient movement history using system records and registers
  • Assisting SAPS (South African Police Service) and stakeholders with J88 form completion when required
  • Capturing and updating patient information on the SAP (HIS) system
  • Performing additional administrative duties as delegated by supervisors

  • Must be willing to work shifts
  • May be required to rotate within Patient Administration departments
  • Work environment is within a busy hospital setting, requiring efficiency and professionalism
