🎓 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- ✅ Grade 10 / Standard 8 or ABET Level 4 qualification
- ✅ Basic understanding of:
- Batho Pele Principles
- Patients’ Rights and Responsibilities
- ✅ Good interpersonal and communication skills
- ✅ Proper telephone etiquette
- ✅ Must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and after hours

🛠️ MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Porter, your daily responsibilities will include:
- 🚑 Transporting patients using stretchers or wheelchairs:
- From wards to departments
- From departments back to wards
- 🛏️ Handling hospital equipment, including:
- Collecting and returning stretchers and wheelchairs
- Ensuring equipment is available where needed
- 🧼 Cleaning and maintaining equipment:
- Washing stretchers and wheelchairs regularly
- ⚰️ Mortuary-related duties:
- Transporting deceased patients to the mortuary
- Assisting with the release of bodies after hours and weekends to funeral services
- 📞 Supporting staff with communication when required
