Sasol Secunda Operations is seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Administrative Clerk to provide expert clerical, coordination, and office support—primarily for the Management of Change (MOC) process. Purpose of the Job

The Administrative Clerk will deliver professional, accurate, and efficient administrative services to ensure the smooth functioning of departmental operations. This role is central to supporting Sasol’s Management of Change (MOC) processes, ensuring documentation accuracy, scheduling effectiveness, stakeholder coordination, and full compliance with Sasol’s governance standards.

You will contribute to organisational efficiency by supporting office operations, planning activities, document control, scheduling, and customer interaction, serving both internal and external stakeholders.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

1. Administrative & Clerical Support

  • Provide expert administrative assistance based on predefined operating procedures.
  • Coordinate office activities, meetings, and schedules to support the MOC process.
  • Handle inquiries, manage appointments, and assist with documentation.
  • Develop presentations, manage correspondence, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Execute tasks in alignment with Sasol governance standards.

2. Management of Change (MOC) Coordination

  • Support, implement, and maintain MOC administrative procedures for the Business Unit.
  • Prepare, follow up, and track outstanding MOC actions and documentation.
  • Ensure MOC documents are filed, updated, and accessible for relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with MOC compliance and ensure alignment with business requirements.

3. Performance, Quality & Productivity

  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly targets are met with high accuracy.
  • Deliver outputs that meet Sasol’s strict quality, quantity, and timeline standards.
  • Adjust work priorities proactively to meet departmental needs.
  • Contribute to team targets and collaborate to achieve collective goals.

4. Financial Awareness & Cost Efficiency

  • Complete administrative tasks in a cost‑effective manner.
  • Demonstrate understanding of financial planning and cost control principles.
  • Use and maintain Sasol equipment, tools, and resources responsibly.
  • Support initiatives aimed at reducing unnecessary expenditure and improving efficiency.

5. SHER Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment & Risk)

  • Promote and achieve SHER objectives consistently.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and risk‑prevention requirements.
  • Work in a manner that ensures a safe, risk‑free environment.
  • Contribute to Sasol’s world-leading safety culture by demonstrating responsible behaviours.

6. Stakeholder & Customer Interaction

  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Provide timely, accurate information that supports business decisions.

Formal Education

  • High School / School Diploma (Matric or equivalent)

Experience

  • 0+ years of relevant experience (entry-level friendly)
    Ideal for individuals starting their administrative career within a professional industrial environment.
