This role is not limited to tea and refreshments—it also incorporates office support, stock control, conference room preparation, and maintenance of hygiene standards in line with ISO-certified requirements.

Minimum Requirements

Educational Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)

Licensing

  • Valid Driver’s License – Code 8

Experience

  • Two years of experience serving refreshments, catering, or hospitality services in a corporate or government environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Tea Maker will perform a variety of duties crucial to maintaining operational efficiency, professional hospitality, and a clean working environment:


1. Serving Refreshments

  • Serve tea, coffee, and other beverages to Administration staff, Management, and visitors.
  • Ensure timely service during meetings and organizational functions.
  • Maintain professional and friendly communication when interacting with guests and employees.

2. Kitchen Management & Hygiene Control

  • Maintain the kitchen in a spotless, hygienic, and organized condition.
  • Wash, dry, and pack away cutlery, crockery, dish towels, and kitchen items daily.
  • Clean cupboards, countertops, kitchen equipment, and surfaces.
  • Ensure strict compliance with hygiene standards related to food handling.

3. Stock Control & Asset Management

  • Manage stock of refreshments, consumables, cleaning materials, and kitchen supplies.
  • Track quantities, identify replenishment needs, and submit requests for restocking.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and assets are used responsibly and maintained correctly.
  • Report any damaged, missing, or malfunctioning equipment.

4. Conference Room Preparation

  • Prepare meeting rooms by ensuring:
    • Refreshments are ready
    • Projector is functioning
    • Air conditioning is running
    • Chairs and tables are neatly arranged
  • Coordinate conference room bookings and maintain cleanliness before and after meetings.

5. Mail Sorting & Administrative Support
