Twizza, a proudly South African beverage manufacturer, is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and safety‑conscious Truck Washer to join the fleet and distribution operations team at our Queenstown manufacturing facility.

As a Truck Washer, you will play an important role in maintaining our logistics fleet, ensuring hygiene, compliance, and brand presentation.
Purpose of the Position
The Truck Washer ensures that all vehicles within Twizza’s fleet are washed thoroughly and consistently — at least once per week per truck. The role supports hygiene, safety, and operational readiness of delivery trucks, ensuring that all Twizza vehicles maintain a high standard of cleanliness in accordance with company expectations.
This role is essential in promoting a clean, professional brand image and ensuring vehicle readiness for product distribution.

Your duties as a Truck Washer will include:
1. Washing and Cleaning All Fleet Vehicles
- Wash all Twizza trucks at least once every week according to schedule.
- Use designated cleaning tools, detergents, pressure washers, and equipment.
- Ensure exteriors, chassis, wheels, and visible compartments are clean and presentable.
- Follow correct cleaning procedures to prevent vehicle damage.
A clean fleet reflects the company’s brand and supports compliance with hygiene standards in FMCG distribution.
2. Cleaning of Equipment and Work Areas
- Clean equipment used during washing, including hoses, brushes, and pressure machines.
- Keep the washing bay clean and free of debris.
- Assist with cleaning other operational equipment when instructed.
- Maintain a safe, dry, clutter‑free environment to prevent accidents.
3. Housekeeping & Site Cleanliness
- Uphold Twizza’s housekeeping standards across the facility.
- Pick up paper, plastic, pallets, boards, and packaging lying around the truck yard.
- Ensure cleaning materials are packed away neatly and safely.
- Keep walkways, floors, and working areas neat at all times.
4. Reporting Issues to Supervisor
- Report vehicle defects, damages, scratches, missing parts, or any abnormalities immediately.
- Report shortages of cleaning materials.
- Notify supervisor if cleaning tools or PPE are worn, broken, or not functioning properly.
This allows the maintenance team to take timely action.
5. Material Usage & Waste Reduction
- Do not waste cleaning chemicals, soap, or water.
- Use only the required amount of materials per wash.
- Contribute to cost savings by minimizing wastage and handling materials responsibly.
6. Compliance & Standard Procedures
- Follow cleaning standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure all work complies with Twizza quality standards.
- Complete daily tasks during each shift and secure the cleaning area before leaving.
- Lock away materials after every shift to prevent misuse or theft.
7. PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Compliance
- Wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
- Follow company safety rules, including hygiene rules around chemicals and machinery.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the FMCG environment.
8. Additional Duties
- Assist colleagues when required.
- Perform any reasonable task allocated by the Supervisor.
- Support the depot team during busy operational periods.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for the Truck Washer role, applicants must meet the following:
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric (Essential)
Skills & Experience
- Experience in general work, cleaning, facility maintenance, or truck washing is advantageous.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, pressure washers, and safe chemical handling is useful.
