Purpose of the Role
The Junior Data Capturer supports operational excellence by collecting, entering, analysing, and validating data for reporting and decision‑making. This role ensures the accuracy of operational information across multiple departments — particularly for management, operations teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Analysis & Interpretation
- Collect and evaluate operational and administrative data.
- Assist in analysing trends, performance shifts, irregularities, and insights relevant to the business.
- Identify data inconsistencies and escalate anomalies promptly.
- Support operations by providing data that informs planning and resource allocation.
2. Accurate Data Capturing
- Capture and maintain high‑volume, high‑accuracy data across multiple systems.
- Enter information into databases, spreadsheets, and Fidelity internal platforms.
- Ensure all captured information meets quality control standards.
- Maintain data integrity through proper verification procedures.
Accuracy is essential, as errors impact security operations, decision-making, and compliance reporting.
3. Reporting & Documentation
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
- Prepare data summaries and visualisations to communicate insights effectively.

- Maintain organized digital and physical records for audit purposes.
4. Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Identify gaps, errors, or delays in data collection processes.

- Provide suggestions on optimizing reporting structures and dashboard designs.
5. Teamwork & Collaboration
- Work closely with operational teams, management, and admin staff.
- Participate in meetings relating to data, accuracy, performance metrics, and operations.
- Support colleagues by sharing insights and maintaining positive working relationships.
6. Confidentiality & Data Protection
- Handle confidential information responsibly and securely.
- Adhere strictly to Fidelity’s data confidentiality protocols and POPIA requirements.
- Practice integrity and caution with all sensitive data and client information.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this Junior Data Capturer role, applicants must meet the following:
✔ Education
- Grade 12 / Matric
- Relevant certifications in Database Management, Data Analysis, or IT — advantageous
✔ Experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in:
- Data capturing
- Data analysis
- General administration
- Security or investigations environment (advantageous)
✔ Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filtering, pivot tables etc.)
- Experience with Online Intelligence or similar operational data tools
- Ability to analyse and interpret data accurately
- Strong computer skills (Windows, Office, reporting tools)
