CHECKER (DISPATCH) – CLICKS CENTURION DISTRIBUTION CENTRE
Clicks Group, one of South Africa’s largest and most reputable retail and pharmaceutical chains, is seeking a detail‑oriented, accurate, and highly reliable Dispatch Checker to join its world‑class Centurion Distribution Centre (DC).
As part of the Supply Chain and Despatch team, you will play a critical role in ensuring that stock captured, dispatched, and received is handled with precision, efficiency, and compliance — enabling Clicks stores nationwide to operate smoothly and deliver exceptional customer service.

Purpose of the Role
The Dispatch Checker ensures that all stock movement processes — especially dispatch, GIT (Goods in Transit), and store receipt capturing — are executed according to Clicks operational standards and procedures.
The Checker is responsible for verifying loads, following up on overdue items, maintaining accurate records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting smooth warehouse administration.
This role supports inventory integrity, reduces losses, and ensures correct and timely delivery of stock to stores across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
1. Overseeing Goods-in-Transit (GIT)
- Follow up with stores, transporters, and internal teams regarding overdue items on the GIT Report.
- Investigate delayed shipments and escalate problematic cases.
- Ensure timely resolution of outstanding discrepancies.
- Communicate GIT issues clearly and professionally with all role players.
2. Receipting and Documentation Compliance
- Ensure stores adhere to correct receipting processes.
- Monitor capturing of receipts in line with company procedures.
- Identify non-compliance, correct it, and provide guidance to relevant staff.
- Collaborate with admin, dispatch, and inventory teams to maintain synchronized documentation.
3. Dispatch Verification and Stock Integrity
- Verify product quantities, pallet accuracy, and item description before dispatch.
- Ensure documentation matches the physical load.
- Identify missing items, discrepancies, or incorrect labelling.
- Prevent errors by double-checking high‑risk products, fragile items, and bulk stock.
4. Communication with Operational Stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with stores, drivers, dispatch teams, transport coordinators, and administrative staff.
- Relay updates, discrepancies, and operational issues timeously.
- Build professional working relationships with internal and external partners.
5. Administrative Support
- Assist Admin Department with daily tasks such as:
- Filing dispatch documents
- Capturing data
- Checking store acknowledgements
- Reconciliation reports
- Ensure accurate record‑keeping that supports audits, traceability, and stock accuracy.
6. Problem Solving & Conflict Management
- Identify challenges affecting stock flow and dispatch processes.
- Resolve issues calmly and professionally.
- Apply conflict resolution techniques when dealing with drivers, stores, or warehouse staff.
7. Compliance & Warehouse Safety
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols.
- Support safe materials handling practices.
- Ensure dispatch lanes, loading areas, and pallets are safe, clean, and organized.
Minimum Requirements (SEO‑Expanded)

- Matric (Grade 12) — Essential
✔ Relevant Job Knowledge
- General understanding of Goods in Transit (GIT) in a warehouse environment — Desirable
- Basic materials handling knowledge — Desirable

- Strong communication (written & verbal)

- General warehouse experience
- Dispatch warehouse experience (preferred)
