### Packaging Operator at South African Breweries (SAB)

**Position Overview**
South African Breweries (SAB) is seeking a skilled Packaging Operator to join our dynamic team. The primary purpose of this role is to safely operate and maintain packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal efficiency, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of packaging operations while adhering to safety, hygiene, and performance standards.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
– Operate packaging equipment and manage associated processes to meet performance targets.
– Interpret and execute the production plan for the assigned shift.
– Operate manual and automatic machines on the packaging line in accordance with standard operating procedures.
– Ensure process quality and productivity align with SAB’s standards.
– Maintain compliance with hygiene and food safety regulations.
– Perform administrative tasks, including tracking, monitoring, and documenting processes, and take corrective actions as needed.
– Manage PIMS (Performance Information Management System) and POMS (Plant Optimization Management System), addressing negative trends proactively.
– Utilize OFR (Operational Feedback Reports) as per defined triggers.
– Contribute to AB (Anheuser-Busch) reports as required.
– Uphold and promote a safe and healthy work environment.

**Minimum Requirements**
– Grade 12 qualification (Matric or equivalent).
– Minimum of 9 months of on-the-job training.
– Completion of SKAP (Skills and Knowledge Assessment Programme) within 12 months.
– Experience in a packaging role within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.

**Skills and Competencies**
– Technical proficiency in operating manual and automatic packaging equipment.
– Strong attention to detail to ensure process quality and compliance with hygiene standards.
– Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and address negative trends.
– Ability to interpret and implement production plans effectively.
