Role Overview
Premier FMCG is seeking a Sales Assistant to support the Driver/Salesman in daily deliveries of Premier products. This role involves assisting with cash and tray collection, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of products, and maintaining high standards of vehicle hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify company products against the loading sheet and sign off.
- Adhere to standard departure times and delivery schedules.
- Ensure vehicle safety and cleanliness.
- Collect cash from customers and ensure daily banking (where applicable).
- Offload products at customer locations.
- Report accidents immediately to the transport department and Service Manager.
- Assist the driver with truck reversing as per company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Qualification Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Valid Code 10 driver’s license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
Experience Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry is advantageous.
Skills and Attributes
- Good people management and relationship-building skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Self-motivated and responsible.
- Ability to work in a pressurized environment.
- Flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as per shift roster.
- Willingness to work on a rotating 12-hour shift, including night shifts.
Working Conditions
- 6-day workweek.
