Position Summary
The Social Grant Administrator oversees the local administration of social grants, ensuring accurate and efficient application processing. This includes engaging with applicants, verifying documentation, entering data into the system, and offering ongoing customer support. The role also involves general administrative duties to support office operations and maintain compliance with legislation.
Key Details
–Pre‑employment Checks: Shortlisted candidates must pass mandatory screenings including qualification verification, reference checks, credit checks, criminal record checks, technical assessments, and competency evaluations.
–Employment Equity: Preference will be given to candidates who contribute to the Agency’s representivity goals in terms of race, gender, and disability (per the Agency’s Employment Equity Plan).
–Foreign Qualifications: All foreign credentials must be evaluated and endorsed by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) before selection.

Minimum Requirements

-Screen and process grant applications
-Accurately enter application data into the system
-Provide exceptional customer service to applicants
-Maintain and organize grant-related documents
-Perform quality assurance checks on applications
-Ensure compliance with PFMA Section 57 requirements
