Purpose of the Role
To contribute to an optimal client experience by providing efficient administrative support across designated areas of the client life cycle. This role is responsible for supporting Relationship Managers and Key Account Managers with client onboarding, maintaining client information on relevant systems, processing client requests, and ensuring compliance in line with banking policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Client Administration & Onboarding
- Provide administrative support to Relationship Managers and Key Account Managers during the client onboarding process.
- Capture, load, and maintain all client information accurately on relevant systems.
- Process client requests and enquiries in line with agreed service levels.
- Ensure payment and client data is correct, compliant, and securely stored.
Payments Processing & Compliance
- Monitor compliance with clearing rules and payment system requirements.
- Support processing of payments across multiple payment streams, including Authenticated Collections (DebiCheck) and EFT.
- Escalate and resolve client payment issues promptly.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the interbank payments arena.
Risk, Compliance & Recordkeeping
- Ensure that all client administration and payment processes comply with Capitec policies, procedures, and regulatory frameworks.
- Identify gaps or risks in processes and escalate where necessary.
- Contribute to audit readiness by ensuring accurate recordkeeping of client and payment transactions.
Client Support
- Respond to internal and external client enquiries professionally, providing accurate information and timely resolutions.
- Build strong working relationships with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support Relationship Managers with after-sales and ongoing client servicing.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) – compulsory.
- National Certificate (NQF 5) or higher in Banking/Finance/Commerce – advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ compliance monitoring and administration experience.
- At least 3 years’ general banking experience.
Ideal/Preferred Requirements
- 2+ years’ proven compliance and administration experience in a financial or banking environment.
- A relevant qualification in Commerce, Finance, or Banking.
- Knowledge of Capitec Bank systems and processes.
- Knowledge of data analytics and client service principles.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge (Minimum):
- Applicable clearing rules and interbank payments arena.
- Payment systems and payment streams (Authenticated Collections / DebiCheck, EFT).
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge (Ideal):
- Capitec Bank systems, policies, and practices.
- Data analysis and reporting.
- Client service principles and client lifecycle management.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written).
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
