Purpose of the Role

The TES Specialist provides expert SAP transactional and consultative services to ensure effective execution of Temporary Employment Services (TES) contracts. The role ensures compliance with labour legislation and Procure-to-Pay (PtP) governance while engaging with business partners and TES suppliers to deliver seamless resource mobilisation.

This includes scoping, sourcing, onboarding, and demobilisation of TES resources, as well as supporting shutdown recruitment activities, monitoring supplier compliance, and resolving pay queries.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Supplier Management

  • Engage daily with TES suppliers to address sourcing, mobilisation, pay queries, and demobilisation of temporary resources.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contractual and service-level agreements.
  • Investigate and resolve overdue Purchase Orders (POs), change orders, and supplier-related challenges.

Business Partner Support

  • Conduct scoping discussions with end-users to clarify job requirements, rates, approval processes, and time management expectations.
  • Provide training and guidance to business partners on TES processes, SAP systems, and governance protocols.
  • Apply a consultative approach to meet business needs effectively while ensuring full compliance.

TES Onboarding and Compliance

  • Coordinate with permit offices, medical centres, and training providers to facilitate resource mobilisation.
  • Verify compliance with Sasol onboarding requirements including medical screening, inductions, training, and badging.
  • Ensure adherence to labour legislation, Sasol guidelines, PtP governance, and TES contractual boundaries.
  • Provide first-line assurance on compliance with TES contracts and internal/external statutory requirements.

Shutdown Planning and Execution

  • Support shutdown recruitment and planning initiatives, ensuring adequate temporary resource allocation.
  • Create shutdown notifications and expedite TES resource requirements to meet operational deadlines.
  • Monitor and report on shutdown-related TES costs, risks, and outcomes.

Transactional and Reporting Activities

  • Execute transactions within SAP PS3 and SAP MM, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with governance frameworks.
  • Compile and distribute weekly reports, including H1 Time Management, Retro reports, and cost analysis.
  • Address pay-related queries promptly and accurately, particularly those linked to incorrect time entries.
  • Generate business intelligence reports on TES volumes, costs, and potential risks for stakeholder review.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate (Essential).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 3+ years’ relevant experience in one or more of the following domains:
      • Temporary Employment Services (TES)
      • Supply Chain Management
      • Human Resources (HR)
    • Hands-on expertise with SAP PS3 and SAP MM modules.
    • Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (PtP) process execution and governance.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

  • Document management and record keeping.
  • SAP transactions in PS3 and MM.
  • Procure-to-Pay execution and compliance.
  • Shutdown preparation and resource coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of labour legislation and TES governance frameworks.
