1. INTRODUCTION

To uphold this high standard, Curro Rivonia seeks a dynamic, detail-oriented, and service-driven Admissions Officer who will play a key administrative and customer-facing role in ensuring seamless enrolment processes and exceptional stakeholder experiences.
This role is vital in shaping positive first impressions for prospective families while maintaining accurate administrative, financial, and operational processes within the admissions environment.
2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Admissions Officer is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing the school’s admissions process. This includes managing applications, liaising with stakeholders, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring effective communication at all levels. The role requires professionalism, organisational excellence, and a strong customer-service mindset as the Officer represents the school’s values, ethos, and standards.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & PERFORMANCE AREAS
3.1 Frontline Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
- Manage and screen all incoming telephone calls, ensuring callers receive prompt, professional, and accurate assistance.
- Attend to walk-in enquiries, prospective families, visitors, suppliers, and staff with warmth and professionalism.
- Provide accurate information regarding admissions requirements, school programmes, tours, and relevant processes.
- Facilitate positive interactions with stakeholders at all levels of seniority, maintaining the school’s professional image.
3.2 Admissions Process Coordination
- Manage the full application process, including capturing data, updating records, organizing interviews, scheduling school tours, and communicating outcomes.
- Maintain up-to-date admissions logs, spreadsheets, and digital records in compliance with Curro policies.
- Ensure all admissions documentation complies with regulatory and school requirements.
- Assist the Head of School with enrolment planning, monitoring application volumes, and reporting trends.
3.3 Administrative Support & Office Management
- Perform general office administrative duties including email correspondence, typing, filing, record-keeping, and maintaining updated contact lists.
- Support the administrative and academic staff by ensuring documents, notices, communications and forms are processed efficiently.
- Keep all admission-related files, registers, and documentation organised and easily accessible.
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive personal information at all times.
3.4 Financial and Operational Support
- Assist with basic financial administration, including processing of payments, issuing receipts, and reconciling financial records as required.
- Oversee and maintain stock control of various office items such as stationery, admission packs, promotional materials, and furniture.
- Liaise with procurement teams, suppliers, and central office staff regarding purchasing and inventory requirements.
3.5 Communication & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with prospective families, current parents, and internal staff.
- Communicate changes, updates, or new admissions requirements promptly and accurately.
- Support marketing activities such as school events, open days, and tours to promote enrolment growth.
3.6 Compliance & Values Alignment
- Uphold Curro’s values, policies, and Code of Conduct in all interactions.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company confidentiality standards.
- Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and behaviour as representative of Curro.
3.7 Additional Duties
- Execute additional tasks as assigned by the Head of School or relevant manager.
- Provide support during peak admission seasons and participate in school activities where needed.
- Demonstrate flexibility, willingness to learn, and ability to adapt to dynamic school operations.
4. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Certificate in Office Administration or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Relevant tertiary-level training in Administration, Customer Service, or related fields will be advantageous.
5. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in administration, admissions, or a customer-centric role.
- Experience in an educational environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in managing financial tasks and stock control.
- Proven ability to manage data, draft professional communication, and maintain updated records.
